Assessing the Impact of the Hamas-Israel Conflict (2023-2025) on Islamic Republic of Iran
This paper examines how the Hamas-Israel conflict of 2023-2025 changed the role of Iran in the region, domestic policy and its security policy. It relies on qualitative analysis of secondary literature in evaluating the long term dependency of Tehran on the axis of resistance, the escalation of economic sanctions, and the shift of proxy threats to direct military confrontations with Israel which involves missile attacks and mass strikes against nuclear and energy installations. The paper also examines domestic socio economic pressures and legitimacy issues in Iran, conventional military constraints, and puts the confrontation between Iran and Israel into broader strategic conflicts between the United States, Russia, China and the gulf monarchies.
